Singapore’s National Day 2022 is coming up, and you know what that means: National Day fireworks! Read on for both official and nearby green spots where you just might catch the NDP 2022 fireworks… and they’re not just within Marina Bay.
If nothing else screams ‘Singapore’, the Singapore National Day fireworks will. Us Singaporeans will gather on picnic mats, rush to the top floors of buildings – all to catch the beautiful display of colours light up the night sky.
This year, National Day 2022 will see not only fireworks at Marina Bay, but also the heartlands! There will be 5 heartland spots with fireworks, so be sure to grab a spot.
If you can’t (or want to avoid the crowds!) though, no worries. We’ve gathered the best green spaces and parks you might be able to catch the National Day 2022 fireworks. Both the official spots and possible parks nearby!
P.S. For your convenience, we’ve ranked the likelihood of you being able to catch the fireworks from 1-10. With 10 being the most likely you can view the NDP 2022 fireworks.
1. Jurong West Stadium.
If you’re in Jurong looking to view the fireworks together with other fellow Singaporeans, head to Jurong West Stadium! The stadium is equipped with seats and a nice open field to view the display. So if you’re early enough, you might just get prime firework viewing seats.

2. Yunnan Park.
If you didn’t manage to grab yourself a spot at Jurong West Stadium though, you might want to take your chances with this green spot: Yunnan Park! It’s right across from Jurong West Stadium, so there’s definitely a possibility of catching the Jurong West fireworks here.
Plus, if you haven’t visited Yunnan Park, you definitely should. It’s Nanyang Technological University’s best hidden secret. This green space is a Chinese-inspired scene of tranquility. With pavilions, boardwalks, a playground and even a waterfall, your firework viewing night couldn’t get more beautiful!

3. Woodlands Stadium.
Stadiums are definitely some of the most convenient spots to view Singapore’s NDP fireworks. If you stay in the north, head to Woodlands Stadium to catch the community fireworks. The stadium is equipped with benches and a field for you to chill and enjoy the gorgeous sparkler spectacle!

4. Woodlands Townpark East.
Right across from Woodlands Stadium is Woodlands Townpark East. This tiny but mighty patch of greenery boasts a 30m high hilltop, making it easier for you to view the fireworks.
So grab a picnic mat, your loved ones, and some snacks for a comfy firework-viewing picnic session away from the city. With cool winds, a high vantage point, and calming greenery, this might just be the best heartland park spot for firework-viewing!

5. Bedok Stadium.
Staying in the east? No problem! Bedok Stadium’s the perfect spot to view the community fireworks for easties. The stadium is able to seat up to 3800 people, and with a wide-open field and lush greenery surrounding it, it’s the ideal, serene spot for watching the fireworks.

6. site of former Tampines Junior College.
Although it’s been almost nothing but abandoned for a few years, the site of former Tampines junior college will open up once more for 2022’s NDP community fireworks. Line up to enter the former TPJC school stadium and watch sparkling colours light up the night sky, giving the old school life!
While there may be no green areas and parks nearby, if you didn’t manage to snag a seat in time, head up to the top of TPJC’s surrounding HDBs! You might just catch a glimpse of Tampines’ community fireworks.

7. open field beside AMK Public Library.
Singaporeans staying in the central areas should head to Ang Mo Kio Public Library for this special heartland treat! There will be community fireworks setting off at the field next to AMK Public Library is National Day 2022. Don’t forget to bring your picnic mats – the open field of grass makes it the best spot for summer night picnic vibes.

8. Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West.
Couldn’t get a spot at the field? Luckily, Ang Mo Kio (AMK) library is situated right across from this amazing park: Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West! On most days, AMK Town Garden West is meant for fitness and leisure. The tree-clad area is lined with jogging tracks, has a kids’ play area and comes with quite a few patches of open space.
That means this National Day, you might get a spot for you to lay out a picnic mat, set up some chairs, and enjoy the 2022 NDP fireworks!
Do note that the prevalence of trees in the garden might mean an obstructed view of the fireworks. Pick your firework-viewing spot in the park wisely!

9. Marina Bay.
This year’s National Day Parade will be held at The Float @ Marina Bay! So if you’re not watching the main parade, you could head to any open area nearby to watch the fireworks. Optimal spots include the Helix Bridge, Merlion Park, Esplanade Waterfront, Marina Barrage, Gardens By The Bay, and more.

Aren’t you absolutely excited to watch this year’s fireworks? Singapore has seen some tough times recently. Especially with lesser gatherings and restrictions placed for our safety.
But with the relaxing of measures, perhaps National Day Parade 2022 will see a much more lively celebration this year. Plus, with carnivals and heartland fireworks on top of the usual parade? NDP 2022 is going to be a blast.
Do note that the organised locations will be open for visitors to enter and watch the fireworks. However, since it is a non-ticketed event, seats are first-come-first-serve and standard Safe Management Measures apply.
