BMW appointed official car sponsor for Singapore International Energy Week.

For the seventh year in a row, BMW has been appointed the official car sponsor of Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW).

The Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) is an annual platform organised by the Energy Market Authority (EMA). The event caters to energy professionals, policymakers and commentators to collaborate and share industry best practices and solutions within the global energy space. Through forged bonds and partnerships, this can strengthen Singapore’s charge to adopt more sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.

First held in 2008, SIEW aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and initiate discussions on pertinent energy-related issues, while simultaneously meeting the strategic objectives of Singapore’s commitment to becoming a global leader among energy companies converging on the event.

EMA’s anchor event, the SIEW Summit, will feature high-level keynotes and panel discussions around this year’s theme. The event also includes tons of other key events, including the SIEW Energy Insights, SIEW Thinktank Roundtables and In Dialogue with Youth.

Additionally, SIEW has numerous partner events such as the Asia Clean Energy Summit, Asian Downstream Summit, and Asia LNG & Hydrogen Gas Markets which provide opportunities to highlight industry-specific topics.

The event this year will be held from 25 to 28 October 2022 at Marina Bay Sands. BMW, working with Performance Motors Limited (PML), will be sponsoring 40 units of the BMW 520i Sedan to chauffeur VIPs and delegates throughout the event. These vehicles will be demarcated with special ‘SIEW’ license plates.

Lars Nielsen, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, added that SIEW’s theme this year, which is ‘A Resilient and Sustainable Energy Future’, mirrors BMW group’s strategy to do better for the environment in pursuit of a greener future.
