Lamb Weston used Food & Hospitality Asia 2026 in Singapore to introduce three new potato products aimed at airline and foodservice operators: Snap Fries, Frenzy Fries and Original Mash Cup.
The company says the line-up is designed to help operators respond to familiar industry pressures such as limited kitchen space, labour constraints and the need for greater consistency, while still offering products that remain attractive to customers.
The clearest example of that approach is Snap Fries, which Lamb Weston is positioning as a solution for environments where a deep fryer is either impractical or unavailable.
The product is engineered for airline ovens, combi ovens, impinger ovens and air fryers, and comes in pre-portioned monopacks intended to simplify preparation.
The fries use a special coating that helps them retain crispness across different cooking platforms, including onboard aircraft.
Lamb Weston says Snap Fries are aimed not only at airlines, but also at cafés, hot counters, kiosks and other space-constrained foodservice operations. If operators can serve a recognisable, popular side without needing a full fryer set-up, that potentially opens up new menu and revenue opportunities with fewer back-of-house demands.

The second product, Frenzy Fries, is targeted more at presentation and premium positioning. These skin-on fries are designed with a three-sided, triangular-inspired shape intended to increase surface area for crispness while maintaining a softer interior.
The brand is also emphasising their visual distinctiveness, describing them as suitable for operators who want a more premium-looking fry that stands out both on the plate and on social media.
Frenzy Fries also use Lamb Weston’s invisible Stealth coating, which the company says extends holding time and helps the fries stay crisp for up to 20 minutes. They can be prepared in either a deep fryer or an oven, with stated cooking times of three minutes at 175°C in a fryer or 15 to 20 minutes at 200°C in an oven.

Rounding out the line-up is Original Mash Cup, which takes a different approach to convenience. Rather than focusing on fries, the product offers a pre-portioned mashed potato format that is shelf-stable at ambient temperature for up to 12 months.
Preparation is simple: remove the seal, add 135ml of hot water and stir, with the product ready in around 10 seconds. Lamb Weston is presenting it as an option for kitchens with limited space, labour or freezer capacity, as well as for operators who want a quick, consistent potato side without additional preparation complexity.
“In today’s environment, operators must do more with less: less space, less labour, and less time, while continuing to deliver the comforting favourites consumers expect. With Snap Fries, Frenzy Fries and Original Mash Cup, we’re showing that great potato favourites don’t require a traditional deep fryer or full kitchen, just smart solutions that deliver anytime, anywhere.”
