With the promise of intelligent cleaning and a design sleek enough to grace any modern home, the Tineco Floor One S9 Artist truly delivers a masterpiece in home maintenance.
Cleaning has always ranked pretty low on the list of enjoyable household activities, somewhere between folding laundry and watching paint dry. But what if there were a smarter, more elegant way to tackle your floors?
Well, I was sceptical too, until Tineco graciously offered the new Floor One S9 Artist for a test run. The S9 is a vacuum and mop hybrid that the company claims can redefine how you clean your home, and due to a recent home renovation, I was extremely eager to put it to the test.
Design & Build.

At first sight, the Tineco Floor One S9 Artist is certainly easy on the eyes. Sporting a minimalist design (and ignoring the construction materials in the background), it wouldn’t look out of place in a designer home showroom.
The sleek, matte finish paired with metallic accents elevates this cleaning appliance to something you’d proudly display rather than hide in the storeroom.

This beauty is more than skin deep too. Its design is thoughtfully ergonomic, with a balanced weight distribution that sits perfectly in the hand, avoiding unnecessary strain during prolonged cleaning sessions.
Once you pull back the top handle, the vacuum proceeds to move forward on its own, thanks to a pair of guide wheels, so nobody in the family can now complain that “cleaning is hard because it’s too heavy”.

The clever placement of the clean water tank at the base creates a low centre of gravity, allowing the vacuum to effortlessly glide across floors.
Speaking of effortless, the vacuum’s unique 180° lay-flat design is a godsend. No more awkward crouching or rearranging furniture to reach beneath sofas and beds.
Performance.

The Floor One S9 Artist boasts an incredible 22,000Pa of suction, strong enough to handle everything from fine dust to stray cereal. Despite this powerful performance, the vacuum never feels aggressive or difficult to handle.
Construction dust was no match for the S9, and after each day of renovation, my floors instantly felt back to their original cleanliness thanks to it. All of the debris and dust gets ported into the wastewater tank (which is located on the stem of the vacuum), so disposal is as easy as flushing it all down the toilet basin.
The SmoothDrive omnidirectional wheels move with ease, intuitively following your movements, as if the vacuum anticipates your intentions. Cleaning tight spaces and awkward corners suddenly becomes a smooth, almost enjoyable experience.

Another standout is the DualBlock anti-tangle system. As someone who’s constantly battling pet hair, this is revolutionary. This clever design prevents hair from ever becoming an issue, freeing you from tedious maintenance tasks.
Smart Features.

The 3D Light Display intelligently communicates vital information at a glance. For example, the ring glows blue during normal operation, turning red to gently remind you when it needs a refill or cleaning, and green when charging. No guessing, no fuss. Just clear communication.
Another thoughtful inclusion is the dual-sided enhanced edge cleaning, which banishes dust from notoriously tricky places like skirting boards and corners. You’ll no longer need to manually scrub hard-to-reach areas.
The real magic to me, however, comes with the 85°C FlashDry feature. By rapidly heating and drying the internal roller brush, it prevents moisture build-up and odours. During testing, My floors died up pretty quickly after use, and no sticky moisture remains.
Maintenance.

If there’s one task even less enjoyable than cleaning itself, it’s cleaning the cleaner. Thankfully, Tineco has you covered. After use, simply place the S9 Artist onto the self-cleaning dock, and watch it perform a thorough internal cleanse with hot water.
Battery Life.

On paper, the Tineco promises around 35 minutes of continuous use per charge, which proved more than adequate for cleaning the entire flat (about 113 square metres) without rushing.
If you have a larger space or prefer thorough cleaning sessions, the battery life might feel a tad tight, but the efficient design means that you’ll rarely find yourself caught short. Besides, its charging dock conveniently doubles as its home base.
A masterpiece in modern cleaning.

The Tineco Floor One S9 Artist is a thoughtfully engineered companion that makes mundane chores almost enjoyable. It combines form and function so seamlessly that it transcends mere practicality, providing genuine convenience with a hint of luxury.
Yes, it comes at a premium (priced at around S$1,399), so it’s certainly not cheap. But ask yourself this: can you really put a price on freeing yourself from the drudgery of floor cleaning? This device not only simplifies your routine but transforms the very nature of cleaning into something satisfying, almost therapeutic.
And for that, I feel it’s worth every dollar.
