vivo has launched its new X500 Series in Singapore, comprising the X500 and flagship X500 Pro Max.
Both models place photography firmly at the centre, with ZEISS-developed camera systems, expanded telephoto capabilities and new cinematic video tools. They also introduce OriginOS 7 and the largest batteries yet fitted to vivo’s X Series.
X500 Pro Max gets a 200MP telephoto camera

The X500 Pro Max leads the range with a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera using a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an 85mm-equivalent focal length.
It also features CIPA 7.0 stabilisation to reduce blur during handheld shooting, particularly in low light. vivo’s X-Track Engine adds subject tracking for both stills and video, including autofocus tracking at up to 60fps in Snapshot Mode.
For greater reach, the phone supports the second-generation vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender, extending its field of view to a 400mm equivalent. The accessory supports more than 10 shooting modes, including Stage, Snapshot and Pro.
X500 targets everyday photography

The standard X500 uses a 72mm-equivalent ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera alongside a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor.
Its Cinematic Portrait mode automatically adjusts lighting depending on the environment, while vivo Color Palette allows users to fine-tune tone, glow and grain for more personalised portraits.
More serious video capabilities

The X500 Pro Max introduces Cinematic Pro Log Video, designed to preserve highlight and shadow detail for greater flexibility during post-production.
Its ZEISS TrueDynamic Main Camera supports up to 17 EV of dynamic range in selected video modes, along with 4K Dolby Vision Portrait Video.
It can also record native 4K video at up to 240fps, with 3-degree gimbal-grade optical image stabilisation helping to keep footage steady.
Across the wider X500 Series, users also get multi-focal 4K 120fps video, cinematic colour profiles and Film Style effects such as motion blur, halation and grain.
Stage Mode 3.0 adds features including Auto Framing Fancam Video, Dual-View Stage Video and Super Telephoto Stage Snapshot, making the phones particularly suited to concerts and live events.
OriginOS 7 arrives with broader cross-device support

The X500 Series runs OriginOS 7, which introduces improvements to multitasking, animations and cross-device connectivity.
It supports interoperability with Apple products including AirPods, Apple Watch and iCloud, while Quick Share 3 extends file transfers across devices, including AirDrop compatibility.
AI tools include Snap & Go for recognising information in screenshots, AI Next Up for creating reminders, and AI Recorder, which can identify speakers, refine transcripts and generate summaries.
Bigger batteries across the range

The X500 Pro Max is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, while the X500 uses the Dimensity 9600M.
Battery capacity stands at 7,800mAh for the Pro Max and 7,500mAh for the X500.
Both models support 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge, alongside semi-solid-state battery technology designed to operate at temperatures as low as -20 deg C.
The phones also carry IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, USB 3.2 connectivity and infrared blasters.
