Anime Festival Asia Singapore (AFASG26) returns from 27 to 29 November 2026, bringing three days of Japanese music, anime showcases, creators and fan experiences to Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Now in its 18th edition, this year’s festival is held in conjunction with SJ60, marking 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan.

The programme spans concerts, anime premieres and industry presentations, alongside more than 100 independent creators, cosplay activities and exclusive merchandise.

Three nights of Japanese music

The festival opens on 27 November with acclaimed composer Yuki Kajiura’s first concert performance in Singapore.

The AFASG26 Music Fest follows on 28 November, featuring Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, May’n, rock band Aooo, virtual singers KAF and Isekaijoucho, as well as Liyuu, Naomi Payton and Yuina from Love Live! Superstar!! group Liella!.

Sunday concludes with the HoneyWorks Vocal All Stars and AFA VOCALOID NIGHT featuring Hatsune Miku. Vocaloid producers and DJs kz (livetune), Hachioji P, TeddyLoid, jon-YAKITORY and picco will perform during the latter.

Major anime titles take the stage

Black Clover will receive a special presentation on 29 November, while upcoming anime KAGURABACHI will offer a behind-the-scenes preview ahead of its April 2027 premiere. Animation producer Kan Mizoguchi and protagonist voice actor Taihi Kimura will appear for the session.

The AFA NEXT Stage adds the Asian premiere of A-1 Pictures’ BLESS, presentations for Devils’ Crest and Overgeared, and appearances from NIJISANJI EN group NØVA.

Pikotaro will also return to AFA Singapore on 28 November, exactly a decade after his 2016 appearance, while Initial D-associated Eurobeat producer Dave Rodgers will perform during the weekend.

More than concerts and anime

The exhibition hall will host more than 100 independent artists and makers through the AFA Creators Hub, alongside themed booths from companies including Crunchyroll, KADOKAWA, TOHO animation and Kodansha.

Visitors can expect exclusive merchandise from franchises including Dragon Ball, One Piece and Digimon, with Toei Animation bringing a 7m-tall Goku inflatable to the show floor.

A dedicated YOASOBI booth will also preview the duo’s upcoming Singapore National Stadium concert on 20 February 2027, the only Southeast Asian stop on their SUPER PLANET tour.

Meet-and-greet sessions will feature voice actors and creators including Konomi Inagaki, Tatsumaru Tachibana, Ayako Kono and Gakuto Kajiwara, alongside Thai cosplayer Thames Malerose and members of Liella!.
