Epson introduces new WorkForce Enterprise business inkjet printers.

These new Workforce Enterprise AM Series printers are both energy efficient and deliver increased printing speeds and finishing options.

Epson has recently unveiled its new series of Workforce Enterprise AM Series printers. This sleek new range of business inkjet printers comes with loads of innovative technology to boot, and aims to provide corporations with an equally efficient yet affordable alternative to traditional laser printing.

increased performance, smaller design.

The WorkForce Enterprise AM series incorporates innovative design cues in order to push out more performance whilst making the printers lighter overall.

The AM-C6000 is a prime example, with its proportions significantly more compact than its predecessor and an impressive weight reduction from 177.1kg to 102.1kg. A new capacitive 10.1’’ touch panel controls all of the printer’s functions, and these new printers boast new settings that can really streamline and simplify work in a corporate setting.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

Using scanned originals, users can now create searchable and editable electronic documents using a built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This will be especially useful for users who occupy shared folders that store scanned data saved directly from the scanner.

The OCR feature enables users to search for words or characters within a particular document, thereby reducing the hassle to perform a manual search to find the file they may be looking for. It also allows for easy copy or pasting of data.

Erase Red Colour (Scan & Copy)

The Erase Red Colour function allows users to restore black and white documents to their original condition by removing red-coloured markings or notes. This function will be especially useful for schools, where red ink is common amongst teachers to make notes or mark worksheets.

Rather than printing out a separate clean copy, the erase red colour function allows users to scan the original marked copy, and digitally remove any red markings to produce a clean document. Neat!

Epson Print Admin

Should the need arise to sort, format, or even lock documents up before printing, the Epson Print Admin is here to help. Security features can be added, which users must authenticate with their PIN card in order to commence printing.

Other robust security features include IP address filters, confidential printing with PIN requirements, access control, and a panel admin mode to prevent unauthorised users from changing the printer settings.

enhanced design with the environment in mind.

For added efficiency, the new Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM series comes equipped with 3 new finishers – a staple finisher, hole puncher, and even an inner finisher. What this means is that you can hole punch, staple, or turn your paper into booklets right from the printer without any additional work. Talk about impressive.

The new printers will also run in the 30-60 page per minute (ppm) range, which will prove beneficial for corporate offices that typically require mid-speed printers and are looking to upgrade.

With respect to the environment, these new printers have fewer replacement parts to maintain, and this translates to fewer maintenance cycles throughout the lifespan of the product. With fewer consumables required to function, the printers generate less overall waste too.

the energy savings are amazing.

Epson’s Heat-Free Technology is the secret to the AM Series’ impressive energy savings. How do they achieve it? Completely removing heat from the ink ejection process results in the printers consuming less power compared to laser printers in the market. The printers also include a power consumption monitoring tool located at the bottom of the home screen and a green leaf icon to highlight paper saving when printing or copying in a duplex.

Or, you could show these figures to your industry partners and brag about how good your new Epson printer is at keeping your electricity bills down.

plans for a greener future.

The rollout of the WorkForce Enterprise AM series also coincides with Epson’s commitment to Heat-Free Technology and to developing sustainable technologies, backed up by a previously announced ¥100 billion investment over ten years until 2030.

The company has also announced the end of sales and distribution of laser printer hardware in Southeast Asia markets by the end of 2023. The firm is confident that inkjet potential can make meaningful strides in sustainability, and was a key consideration in these decisions.

For those existing laser customers, fret not! Epson will continue to support customers by supplying consumables and repair parts after it ceases sales of laser printer hardware.

“Epson’s sustainable inkjet technology has long been at the forefront of our printing and innovation solutions. Consuming less energy and consisting of fewer consumable parts, inkjet printers provide a relatively more sustainable answer to printing solutions as compared to laser printers. Epson is dedicated to leveraging its propriety technology to deliver efficient, sustainable print solutions for our partners and end users, and committing to inkjet printers is the bold first step taken in this direction,” explains Mr Derek Tan, Head of Sales and Marketing, Epson Singapore

The WorkForce Enterprise AM series printers will be available for sale in Singapore starting 15 February 2023. Visit their website or contact an authorised Epson dealer for more information.
