Thomson Fertility Singapore has opened a new centre at United Square, bringing clinical, embryology and laboratory services closer to more couples in Singapore.
The new site is Thomson Fertility’s second centre in the country and offers fertility assessment, diagnosis and treatment under one roof.
Located at #01-18 to 28, 101 Thomson Road, the centre is designed to provide a fuller fertility care setup rather than a consultation-only outpost. According to the release, it is supported by a team of fertility specialists, embryologists and nurses, reflecting a model that combines medical consultation with laboratory and embryology capabilities at the same location.
The centre is led by Dr Tan Heng Hao, Senior Consultant Fertility Specialist and Obstetrician & Gynaecologist.
A key part of the new centre is its laboratory and embryology support. The facility includes time-lapse imaging, blastocyst culture, AI-assisted embryo development assessment, preimplantation genetic testing, advanced sperm selection, IMSI, spindle imaging and DNA fragmentation testing.
The laboratory is equipped with systems intended to maintain a stable environment for eggs, sperm and embryos, including a closed handling system, Cryotec vitrification and warming, and round-the-clock monitoring of temperature, gas and electrical systems.
Established in 1987, Thomson Fertility Centre was the first private IVF centre located in a private hospital in Singapore. The organisation says it brings nearly 40 years of experience, with its doctors and embryologists having supported thousands of couples on their fertility journey over that period.
Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm, and Saturday from 8.00am to 12.30pm. The centre is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
