Samsung expands monitor range in Singapore with new Odyssey and ViewFinity models

Samsung has introduced its 2026 monitor line-up, adding new Odyssey gaming monitors and ViewFinity professional displays aimed at users who want more specialised screens for either gaming or productivity.

The company is positioning the new range around a straightforward split: Odyssey for speed, immersion and responsiveness, and ViewFinity for resolution, connectivity and workflow efficiency.

“As gaming and work play a more central role in how people use their screens, consumers are increasingly looking for monitors that helps elevate how they work and play. Whether it’s a gaming monitor with ultra-fast refresh rates and immersive picture quality, or a monitor that supports professional demands with accurate colour and detail, the Samsung 2026 monitor line-up gives users the choice of a monitor that matches their unique needs.”

On the gaming side, the headline product is the Odyssey OLED G8, which is available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes. It combines a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

The display also features Glare Free technology to reduce distractions in brighter environments, alongside VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification for stronger contrast and deeper blacks.

Samsung is also emphasising longevity and thermal management on the OLED G8. The monitor includes what the company calls OLED Safeguard+, a set of protection measures designed to reduce heat and mitigate burn-in risk.

These include a Dynamic Cooling System, a Thermal Modulation System, automatic logo and taskbar brightness adjustment, and a screen saver that dims the display after inactivity.

The second OLED gaming model is the Odyssey OLED G7, available in 32 inches. This monitor is aimed at players who want flexibility between higher resolution and maximum speed.

Its Dual Mode allows users to switch between 4K UHD at 165Hz and Full HD at 330Hz, depending on the game and preferred balance between detail and refresh rate. The monitor also carries a 0.03ms response time, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, HDR10+ Gaming and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400.

Rounding out the Odyssey additions is the 27-inch Odyssey G8, model G80HF. Unlike the OLED models, this one uses a Fast IPS panel and is positioned for users who want both very high resolution and very high refresh rates in one display.

Through Dual Mode, it can run at 5K resolution at up to 180Hz, or switch to QHD at up to 360Hz when speed is the priority. Samsung says it also offers a 1ms response time, AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC support.

The ViewFinity side of the range is aimed more squarely at professional users, built for people who need high-resolution clarity, more connectivity options and better ergonomic support for longer work sessions.

Common features across the series include Picture-in-Picture, Picture-by-Picture, Samsung Display Manager, TÜV-certified Intelligent Eye Care, a fully adjustable stand, a built-in KVM switch and easier access to frequently used ports.

The larger of the two professional models is the ViewFinity S8 S85TH, which features a 40-inch curved WUHD display. Samsung says it offers around 1.3 times more screen real estate than a standard 4K monitor, making it more suitable for complex multitasking and data-heavy work.

It also includes HDR10+, 1.07 billion colours, a 1000R curve, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium, Adaptive Picture, and Thunderbolt 5 support with up to 80Gbps data transfer, up to 140W power delivery and daisy chaining.

The second productivity model is the ViewFinity S8 S80HF, a 27-inch 5K monitor aimed at users who prioritise detail and precision.

It supports HDR10, displays up to 1.07 billion colours, and includes USB-C with up to 90W power delivery together with a built-in LAN port, allowing the monitor to act as a more central docking point within a desk setup.

The new monitors are now available in Singapore through the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Shop App, and Samsung’s official stores on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop.

Prices start at S$1,288 for the 27-inch ViewFinity S8 S80HF and go up to S$2,588 for the 40-inch ViewFinity S8 S85TH.

The Odyssey range is priced from S$1,688 for the 32-inch OLED G7 to S$2,488 for the 32-inch OLED G8.
