Singapore will host the Red Bull Dance Your Style Southeast Asia Regional Final for the first time this year, marking a notable moment for the local street dance scene and the wider region.
The competition will also see the return of international dance names such as MT Pop, The D’Soraki and LockerZee, as Red Bull opens registration to Singaporeans who want to compete and showcase their individuality on a larger stage.

Red Bull Dance Your Style differs from conventional dance contests in one important way: the audience decides who wins. Rather than relying on a judging panel, the format places dancers in front of a crowd and asks them to respond in real time to unpredictable music selections, from classic tracks to current chart hits.
For Singapore, the event is also a sign of how far the local dance community has come. Goh Xiang Tian, better known as Exxtii, Managing Director of Recognize! Studios and consultant for Red Bull Dance Your Style, described the occasion as a milestone for the scene.
“Hosting the first Red Bull Dance Your Style Regional Final in Singapore is a reflection of how far our community has come. What started as small, community-driven sessions has grown into a movement with its own identity, voice, and global relevance. For the next generation, this stage changes everything. It shows them that they don’t have to look outward to dream big; the world is now coming to them. It’s proof that with authenticity, consistency, and community, dancers from Singapore and SEA can stand confidently on the world stage, not just to participate, but to represent and lead.”

The Singapore qualifiers will take place on 18 April in partnership with Singapore Management University at the SMU T-Junction. Registration is open to Singaporean freestyle dancers aged 18 and above. The top two qualifying dancers will then progress to the Southeast Asia Regional Final on 25 April at the SCAPE Ground Theatre.
They will be joined by eight dancers from the Southeast Asia Qualifier, which will also be held on 25 April earlier in the day. That qualifier is open to dancers living in Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Timor-Leste and Vietnam, with registration running from 10 March to 10 April. The regional final itself will feature a field of 16 dancers, comprising two Singapore qualifiers, eight regional qualifiers and six invited wildcard dancers. The winner will earn the chance to compete at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Zurich, Switzerland.

Adding to the occasion is the Red Bull Dance Your Style Asia Tour 2026, which will bring three international dance figures to Singapore. They are MT Pop from Vietnam, the 2024 Red Bull Dance Your Style World Champion; The D’Soraki from Japan, the 2022 world champion; and LockerZee from South Korea, who appeared on Street Woman Fighter Season 2.
They will also conduct exclusive workshops for dancers in Singapore, offering insights into freestyle technique, musicality and the mindset required to compete at the highest level.
