There was a time when a run was simply a run. You turned up, pinned on a bib, suffered nobly for a few kilometres, collected a medal, and then rewarded yourself with something fried.
These days, however, a good run is expected to do a little more. It must stand for something. It must reflect the concerns of the day. It must, ideally, leave behind more than just tired calves and a handful of social media posts.
That is what The Great Green Run 2026 presented by CIMB Singapore is setting out to do. Returning for its third year, the event is a sustainability-centric platform that combines fitness, environmental stewardship and community engagement, all while championing eco-friendly practices and values such as diversity, inclusivity and philanthropy.

Jointly organised by Modellscape and Tri-FACTOR, the Great Green Run aims to inspire, educate and encourage healthier lifestyles while also nudging participants towards greater environmental responsibility.
The 2026 edition expands its platform to bring together runners, sustainability advocates, organisations and communities around a common purpose: the development of a greener future. It also aligns with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with the Singapore Environment Council confirmed as this year’s Certification Partner.
One of the more meaningful additions this year comes through the Singapore Manufacturing Federation. SMF has introduced an initiative to help up to 50 small and medium-sized enterprises receive complimentary carbon footprint reports.
The run also provides a platform for SMEs to gain insight into Environmental, Social and Governance practices without adding unnecessary operational strain. Through its partnerships, the event seeks to connect businesses with sustainability players across areas such as waste management and energy conservation.
Participants can spend time at the Green Bazaar, a sustainable retail space featuring more than 50 stalls. According to the release, visitors can expect pre-loved clothes, footwear, accessories, bags, handcrafted products and food and beverage vendors.
As for the run itself
The Great Green Run 2026 presented by CIMB Singapore will take place on 14 June 2026 at Marina Barrage. There will be three categories: a 10km run, a 5km run, and an 800m dash.
Pricing varies by category and registration period, with the 5km starting at S$38, the 10km at S$45, and the 800m dash priced at S$66 per pair for one child and one adult.
