The newly launched Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4 are not merely incremental updates. They represent Samsung’s most deliberate attempt yet to engineer sound that feels as good as it measures.
We expect wireless earpieces to do everything: deliver studio-grade audio, block out the MRT’s metallic symphony, survive a jog in the rain, and yet sit in our ears so comfortably that we forget they are even there.
That balancing act, between performance and wearability, is precisely where Samsung is aiming its latest salvo.
Sound that breathes

The headline act is the Galaxy Buds4 Pro. For the first time, it introduces a wider woofer engineered to maximise vibration area while minimising edge distortion, effectively increasing the speaker’s active area by almost 20 per cent compared to its predecessor.
Samsung pairs this hardware upgrade with support for 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio, for greater clarity.
Adaptive intelligence, not blunt force

Samsung’s Enhanced Adaptive ANC and Adaptive EQ aim to analyse wearing conditions and ear shape in real time, adjusting sound profiles accordingly.
Commuting on the train? The system suppresses low-frequency engine rumble while maintaining balanced playback. In a bustling café? It filters ambient chatter without sterilising your surroundings. And when it is time to speak, Super Clear Call leverages super wideband technology and machine-learning-based voice enhancement to keep conversations crisp.
Designed by data

Samsung analysed hundreds of millions of global ear data points and ran over 10,000 simulations to shape the Buds4’s new blade design.
The result is a slimmer, more ergonomic profile with smaller earbud heads for improved stability. The Pro adopts a canal-fit architecture for maximum immersion, while the standard Buds4 opts for an open-fit design prioritising comfort.
The new stabilised blade features an engraved pinch control area, making adjustments more intuitive.
Battery life
The Buds4 Pro offers up to six hours of playback with ANC on, extending to a total of 26 hours with the case. Switch ANC off, and you can push that to seven hours per charge and up to 30 hours overall.
The standard Buds4, meanwhile, delivers up to five hours with ANC on and a total of 24 hours including the case.
Intelligence beyond audio

Samsung is also weaving the Buds4 Series deeper into the Galaxy ecosystem. Users can activate AI agents via hands-free voice commands.
The Pro variant adds Head Gesture controls for managing calls and interacting with AI without reaching for the phone. Open the case near a compatible Galaxy device, and pairing occurs without even launching the Galaxy Wearable app.
Durability
From the specification sheet on page 7, the Buds4 Pro carries an IP57 rating (earbuds only), while the Buds4 is rated IP54. That means resistance to dust and, in the case of the Pro, submersion in shallow fresh water for short periods.
