Who said what? Which action mattered? And did anyone actually write it down? Plaud’s new Desktop app promises a reviewer’s dream: capture the lot, without a lumbering bot barging into your call like an uninvited intern.
Launched in Singapore on 5 January 2026, Plaud Desktop extends the company’s “everywhere you converse” philosophy into online meetings, joining its in-person and phone-call workflows. It records the right audio at the right moment, then turns it into digestible bits you can act on without you fiddling with meeting links or announcing, “the note-taking robot has joined.”
It detects meetings across Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and even Slack, and does so natively on your computer.
Plaud watches for the tell-tale signs of a live meeting then lets you capture clean, high-quality sound under your control. Prefer staying present rather than typing like a court stenographer? The app supports multimodal inputs (audio, typed notes, highlights, screenshots) so context is preserved in one tidy stream rather than scattered across five apps and a coffee-stained notebook.
Privacy, sensibly, is the non-negotiable. Nothing records unless you explicitly enable it, which suits the compliance mood of modern firms (and the common sense of anyone who’s been on a sensitive call). Plaud’s broader stack comes armed with ISO 27001 and 27701, GDPR and SOC 2, HIPAA and EN 1803.
If you’re already in the Plaud ecosystem, with products such as the Plaud Note, Note Pro, or NotePin, Desktop arrives at no extra cost, binding to your device and syncing seamlessly with Plaud App and Plaud Web. That continuity matters. Availability
Plaud Desktop is available now at no additional cost for existing Plaud device owners (Note, Note Pro, NotePin). New users need to bind a device via the Plaud App before using Desktop.
