After seven years of playing the value-for-money card, the POCO F8 Series plants a firm flag in premium territory with two headliners, the F8 Ultra and F8 Pro.
“Through seven years of dedicated effort, POCO has grown into a key player in the smartphone market,” said Kang Lou, Senior Product Marketing Manager and Spokesperson at POCO Global. “As POCO is entering the premium segment, the brand will remain committed to delivering high-quality and high-value products that are within everyone’s reach.”
The F8 Ultra: a proper flagship, not a press-release promise

Under the bonnet sits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with POCO’s VisionBoost D8 co-processor. POCO worked with Bose to create a 2.1-channel, triple-speaker array plus two selectable sound profiles: “Dynamic” for warmth and body, “Balanced” for clarity and clean vocals.
POCO’s new HyperRGB panel uses a full RGB sub-pixel structure with an M10 luminescent material to dial down power draw. It’s a big canvas (6.9 inches), bright, and tuned for all-day DC dimming.
Cameras? A 50MP Light Fusion 950 main sensor with OIS (larger 1/1.31” silicon and bigger pixels), joined by POCO’s first 50MP 5x periscope telephoto that’ll stretch to 20x Ultra Zoom and focus as near as 30 cm. Ultra-wide coverage is on hand, and there are new photo styles plus 1440P dynamic shots with stabilisation.
Range anxiety is kept at bay with a 6,500 mAh battery, 100W HyperCharge (about 38 minutes to full) and 50W wireless on top. The chassis mixes aluminium detailing with either a Denim Blue nano-tech finish or a stealthier Black option; POCO Shield Glass and IP68 add the practical bits you’d want when tropical weather decides to test you.
Xiaomi HyperOS 3 sits underneath with eSIM, clever cross-device features, and HyperAI tools for those moments when you’d rather the phone draft the first paragraph for you.
The F8 Pro: the daily driver with taste

If the Ultra is the extrovert, the F8 Pro is the quiet professional. It keeps the HyperRGB display and Bose-tuned audio, then leans into refinement: a one-piece milled-glass back (CNC-carved from a 2 mm block) with a tasteful matte-gloss contrast, a metal middle frame with soft micro-curves, and a “golden-ratio” 6.59-inch screen that lands beautifully in one hand at 199 g. IP68, of course.
Performance comes from the Snapdragon 8 Elite with WildBoost optimisation for steadier frame pacing, cooled by a new triple-layer IceLoop layout. The 6,210 mAh battery and 100W HyperCharge do the usual POCO thing: big tank, quick fill.
On imaging, the Pro earns its name with a dedicated 50MP telephoto (2.5x optical; 5x lossless), a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main with OIS, and the same creative video/photo tools as its sibling.
