Kobo Clara Colour Now Available In White

Kobo Clara Colour White

Rakuten Kobo has given its most accessible colour eReader, the Kobo Clara Colour, a clean and classic white coat.

Under that fresh finish sits the same 6-inch E Ink Kaleido™ 3 display and the ecosystem that turns a quick read into a proper habit: a built-in Kobo eBookstore (8M+ titles), Kobo Plus for all-you-can-read sessions, Libby/OverDrive borrowing straight to device, and Instapaper for those long articles you swore you’d get to.

Add ComfortLight PRO, IPX8 waterproofing, and a build that uses recycled and ocean-bound plastics, and you have a pocketable reader that’s gentle on eyes and oceans alike.

Kobo hasn’t forgotten the working memory either. Multi-colour highlights make revision and note-taking less of a scramble. And because good design should disappear, the interface stays light and friction-free. Open the book, pick up where you left off, and leave the rest to muscle memory.

“Since we launched our colour eReaders, our most popular feature request since launch has been ‘Clara Colour, but make it white!’ and we are happy to be able to meet that demand,” says Michael Tamblyn, CEO, Rakuten Kobo. “At Kobo, we just focus on one thing: delighting readers.”

Kobo Clara Colour in White goes on sale 23 September 2025 at SGD$239.90 on kobo.com, and in stores at Challenger, Courts, and more; pre-orders open today.
