Backed by Google and Mithril Capital, and operating under the umbrella of InMobi, Glance AI has unveiled a new vision for the future of commerce.
Glance AI marks the emergence of the “AI Consumer” with hyper-realistic, personalised shopping experiences. Through a simple selfie, these consumers expect technology to understand and make decisions for them before they even know what they want.
We managed to catch Ms Mansi Jain, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Glance AI, to discuss Glance AI’s latest milestones, the emergence of the “AI Consumer,” and why Southeast Asia (especially Singapore) is poised to become the global launchpad for AI-led commerce.
From Search to Discovery: A Paradigm Shift in Online Shopping
“The launch of Glance AI signals a paradigm shift,” Mansi explains. “We’re replacing traditional, search-driven shopping with intuitive, hyper-personalised discovery. Glance AI not only responds to user intent, but anticipates it as well.”
Built on Glance’s most advanced proprietary AI models and supported by platforms like Google Gemini, Glance AI introduces consumers to products they didn’t even know they were looking for. It marks the arrival of what Jain describes as the “AI Consumer”; individuals who expect technology not merely to serve queries but to intuitively understand and inspire them in real time.
This AI-native platform is set to expand rapidly across verticals, including beauty, accessories, and travel, establishing a new benchmark for intelligent, discovery-led commerce.
Personalisation as a Standard, Not a Feature
At the heart of Glance AI is a deep commitment to personalisation, a philosophy Jain believes is non-negotiable in today’s digital age. “With Glance AI, we’re taking personalisation to the next level, offering experiences that adapt visually and contextually to each user,” she shares.
The technology goes as far as tailoring product imagery to suit individual skin tones, body types, and even moods, all in real time. These micro-personalised experiences not only boost relevance but also build trust and emotional connection with consumers.
In a region where 92% of consumers rely on AI-powered recommendations and 83% are willing to pay more for AI-enhanced services (according to Glance AI), the demand for intelligent engagement has never been greater.
Generative AI: Fueling Disruption in Consumer Tech
While the rise of Generative AI (GenAI) has captured global attention, Jain notes that 2024 has been the tipping point for its tangible impact across consumer technology. “In fashion discovery, GenAI is completely reimagining how consumers engage with what they wear,” she explains.
With Glance AI, users receive real-time product recommendations based on their preferences and context, without the need to search. “Whether it’s a mood-based look or a trending silhouette, Glance AI meets users where they are,” she says.
For brands, GenAI offers a dual benefit: it powers co-created content on demand and streamlines the entire purchase journey.
Singapore as a Launchpad

Glance’s global ambitions are firmly rooted in Singapore, a market that Jain sees as uniquely positioned to catalyse AI-led transformation. “Singapore combines advanced infrastructure, regulatory support, and a deep talent pool. It’s the perfect launchpad for what we’re building,” she affirms.
The city-state’s leadership in AI readiness, ranked first globally by the 2024 Oxford Insights Government AI Readiness Index, is matched by a supportive policy framework and significant investment in digital infrastructure. Initiatives like the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) and public-private collaborations ensure a robust pipeline of talent and innovation.
Beyond Singapore, Jain points to Southeast Asia’s explosive digital growth and consumer appetite for innovation as key drivers of the region’s growing influence in the global tech ecosystem. “SEA’s dynamic markets and digitally savvy population make it a natural breeding ground for AI-led commerce,” she concludes.
Charting the Future of AI Commerce
With Glance AI, the future of shopping will be predictive, immersive, and deeply human, setting the stage for a new era of commerce. One where technology not only understands us but inspires us.
As Southeast Asia continues to shape the global narrative around AI innovation, new technologies like Glance AI are poised to lead that conversation, one hyper-personalised experience at a time.
