Kahoot! rolls out free AI study tools for back-to-school in Singapore

Every school year starts with good intentions and a stack of notes that could double as a doorstop. Kahoot! thinks it’s time your study plan worked as hard as you do.

The global learning and engagement platform has unveiled a suite of free AI-powered tools to help students in Singapore revise more efficiently, stay motivated, and take the edge off exam anxiety.

With an upgraded AI Generator, students can turn handwritten notes, documents, web pages, Wikipedia entries into interactive study sessions in seconds. The new Question Extractor scans past papers and transforms them into quiz items, while Step-by-step Solver breaks complex problems into clear, guided stages so you learn the “why”, not just the “what”.

No Wi-Fi? No problem.

Students can now create and study Kahoot! sessions offline for free. And if you’re on iOS 26, Quiz Starter uses on-device Apple Foundation Models to generate sessions from scanned class notes. You can then play solo, offline, which makes “anytime, anywhere” more than marketing.

For those who tense up at the word “exam”, Test Mode offers a safe rehearsal. Complete a practice test or quiz without seeing answers until the end, then review a post-game summary with your score, accuracy, timing, and every question you tripped over. It’s targeted revision without the self-doubt spiral.

“At Kahoot!, we want all students to have the tools to start their new classes with confidence and achieve academic success. With our new lineup of AI-powered study features, we’re combining the exciting capabilities of generative AI with the engaging experience of Kahoot! that millions of students worldwide love. These new features offer students a more flexible, personalised, and impactful self-study experience, supporting students throughout the learning process from mastering new concepts to acing their tests.”

Motivation matters, so Kahoot! adds a gentle nudge where you’ll feel it: achievements and study buddies. Daily and weekly streaks come with distinctive icons, animations and little messages that celebrate progress, while cheerful study buddy characters keep spirits up when a tricky chapter refuses to budge. The base buddy is free to try; a subscription unlocks the full cast.

Because some concepts click faster with friends, you can now form Study Groups in-app or on the web, revise together, and battle on a shared leaderboard.

Prefer a calmer, comprehension-first session? Switch to Accuracy Mode, where speed doesn’t earn extra points and everyone gets the same time per question. It’s revision as it should be: focus on getting it right, not just getting it fast.
