Oticon has launched Oticon Zeal in Singapore, marking the Southeast Asian debut of its new NXT in-the-ear hearing aid.
Designed for users who want a discreet device without giving up performance, Oticon Zeal combines second-generation AI sound processing, seamless connectivity with phones, tablets and televisions, and rechargeable all-day battery life in a compact, personalised hearing solution.
The launch comes at a relevant moment for Singapore’s workforce. With the national retirement and re-employment ages set to rise to 64 and 69 respectively, by July 2026, more professionals are expected to remain in work for longer. For those managing hearing loss, Oticon is positioning Zeal as a solution that supports continued engagement and confidence in increasingly dynamic, multi-generational workplaces.

“As conversations around AI continue to grow, what matters most is how the technology meaningfully contributes to people’s everyday lives. Oticon Zeal shows how advanced second-generation AI powered sound processing adapts in real time to the environments people encounter everyday from meetings and conversations to social and recreational settings, ensuring users hear what matters the most. By providing a solution that is as discreet as it is powerful, we are empowering Singaporeans to stay engaged and confident in their careers for longer, particularly as our country’s workforce continues to evolve.”
Tony Lee, Managing Director of Oticon Singapore
Oticon Zeal is designed to address a long-standing tension in hearing support: the desire for discreet aesthetics without sacrificing function. The device is tailored to individual ear shapes and offers same-day fitting through optimised clinic workflows, allowing users to receive and begin using their personalised hearing solution immediately.

Among its headline features is second-generation AI sound processing, which works in real time to adapt to complex and noisy environments such as offices and social settings. Oticon says this works alongside its BrainHearing philosophy, which is intended to support the brain’s natural sound processing for clearer and more balanced audio. The device also supports direct streaming for calls, meetings and music across smartphones, PCs and tablets.
Oticon Zeal is also Auracast-ready, which means it is prepared for future public audio broadcast applications such as airport announcements and theatre performances. Through the Oticon Companion app, users can adjust volume and personalised sound settings discreetly from their mobile devices.
Battery performance is another key part of the proposition, with Oticon stating that the device offers up to 20 hours of use on a single charge, while the portable SmartCharger can provide four hours of battery life from a 15-minute charge.
With Oticon Zeal, the company is making a clear pitch to users who do not want to choose between visibility, convenience and performance. Confidence begins with hearing.
