Samsung Electronics has expanded its removable storage line-up in Singapore with the launch of its new T7 and T9 microSD cards.
The new cards are designed to give users clearer choices as storage demands continue to grow across smartphones, tablets, laptops, handheld gaming consoles, drones and action cameras.

The T7 microSD card is positioned as an everyday storage option for lighter users, including casual gamers, intermediate creators and those who simply need more room across multiple devices.
It is available in capacities of up to 1TB and offers read speeds of up to 170MB/s.

The T9 microSD card, by contrast, is aimed at more demanding workloads. Samsung is targeting gaming enthusiasts and professional content creators who regularly handle larger files and more performance-intensive tasks.
The T9 offers read speeds of up to 200MB/s and is designed for use with performance-oriented devices such as drones, action cameras and gaming hardware, while remaining broadly compatible with more general consumer electronics.
“As Singaporeans have access to devices and technology to create and enjoy more high-definition content, storage demands have grown alongside larger file sizes and more performance-intensive applications. The new T7 and T9 microSD Cards offer users the ability to seek expandable storage that suits their needs and across devices, while delivering trusted and reliable performance.”

Alongside performance, Samsung is also emphasising durability. Both the T7 and T9 microSD cards come with what the company calls six-proof protection, covering resistance to water, temperature, X-rays, magnets, drops and wear. The cards also carry U3, V30, A2 and Class 10 ratings.
Samsung says the T7 and T9 names replace the company’s earlier EVO and PRO naming convention, with the aim of making its removable storage portfolio easier to understand.

The cards are available from today through the Samsung Online Store and authorised retailers. Pricing for the T7 starts at S$75 for the 128GB model, rising to S$120 for 256GB, S$237 for 512GB and S$474 for the 1TB version.
The T9 is priced at S$94 for 128GB, S$148 for 256GB and S$298 for 512GB.
