LG outlines Asia growth strategy at LG InnoFest 2026 APAC

LG Electronics used LG InnoFest 2026 APAC in Busan to present its latest products and broader growth strategy for the Asia-Pacific market, with a focus on region-specific home appliances, built-in kitchen solutions and its longer-term AI home vision.

The event, held from 7 to 10 April, brought together more than 200 partners and media representatives from about 20 countries across the region.

Held under the theme “Innovation, Forward Together”, the showcase centred around how LG intends to tailor its products more closely to Asian living conditions and consumer habits.

In laundry, LG is expanding its WashTower line-up with a new 25-inch model aimed at Asian homes, alongside existing 24-inch and 27-inch versions.

LG is also strengthening its drying portfolio with the new WashCombo, an all-in-one model developed with energy efficiency in mind, particularly in response to sensitivity around electricity costs in Asian markets.

In the kitchen category, LG is introducing new refrigerator solutions designed for different home layouts and lifestyle patterns in Asia.

Dishwashing is another area of emphasis. According to LG, key models across both premium and volume segments achieve A-grade energy efficiency.

For Southeast Asia specifically, LG says it will introduce a tailored built-in kitchen collection that includes ovens, cooktops and hoods for both business and consumer markets.

Among the highlights is its Camera Oven, which uses an internal camera to identify ingredients, recommend a suitable cooking mode and monitor surface colour to determine when food is properly cooked.

The event was also used to demonstrate LG’s broader AI Home direction. For the first time at InnoFest, the company hosted live commerce sessions for selected partners and created three exhibition zones representing different home environments across Asia.

Within these spaces, LG is showcasing how its AI Home Hub, ThinQ ON, connects appliances and IoT devices to create a more integrated household experience. The company says ThinQ ON has already launched in its initial market and will be introduced in phases across Asia, beginning with Australia and Thailand.

As part of its longer-term business strategy, LG is also expanding LG Subscribe, its appliance subscription service, into more Asian markets. The company says it is actively growing this model in Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam, offering customers access to appliances together with ongoing product care.

“Asia is one of our most dynamic and important markets, and InnoFest 2026 gives us a valuable opportunity to connect with our partners and share our vision for the future. Building on our technology innovation, we are advancing AI-powered home solutions that reflect local lifestyles.”

Jaeseung Kim, Regional CEO of LG Electronics Asia Pacific
