Lamb Weston, the global potato powerhouse with 75 years in the fryer, has brought that moment home to Singapore, marking its first retail foray in Southeast Asia.
From this month, you’ll find its restaurant-quality fries at FairPrice, FairPrice Xtra, and FairPrice Finest.
Founded by Gilbert Lamb on a small farm in the Pacific Northwest, the company invented the water-gun knife back in the ’60s, pioneered the stealthy batter that keeps fries shatter-crisp, and sent a parade of playful cuts out into the world.
Singapore’s debut range arrives as a quartet with distinct personalities:
- Original Fries are your classic, skin-on, “hand-cut” lookers
- Grill Fries lean bolder with crinkle grooves and a light salt-and-pepper swagger
- Ziggy Fries bring deep ridges and serious snap
- Potato Dippers are crowd-pleasers
The secret sauce (ironically) isn’t a sauce at all. It’s Stealth™, Lamb Weston’s invisible coating that helps fries stay crispy up to twice as long, whether you’re baking in the oven or letting the air-fryer earn its counter space.

The new packs are 20% thinner and use at least 60% bio-renewable polyethene made from used cooking oil, trimming the packaging’s carbon footprint by about 30%. Lamb Weston aims to halve food waste and cut emissions by 25% by 2033.
If you enjoy a launch deal as much as a late-night snack, there’s a limited introductory price; SGD 6.15 (usual SGD 6.65) across FairPrice stores. And starting 22 November, weekend roadshows will let shoppers taste-test the goods and collect a delightfully on-brand Fry Clip fridge magnet with any two-pack purchase.
“Launching in Singapore allows more consumers to experience the crispiness, flavour, and quality that have made Lamb Weston a trusted name around the world,” says Jeevan Dass, Senior Commercial Director, Asia Pacific.
