GREEN-HOUSE is back for its third and grandest edition from 13-14 July 2024.
Organised by Pass It On Studio, this year’s event partners with New Bahru, a vibrant creative hub in River Valley by The Lo & Behold Group.
What began as a modest gathering in 2022 has blossomed into Singapore’s foremost immersive retail festival, attracting a record number of sustainable local brands.
the passion behind GREEN-HOUSE.
Michelle Chow, the visionary behind Pass It On Studio, drew inspiration from a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. She feared her 9-year-old niece might never witness its splendour as she had in 2020. This worry spurred her into action.
From her apartment, she started designing and selling plantable candles, with proceeds supporting environmental conservation. This effort evolved into Pass It On, Singapore’s first plantable candle brand.
It didn’t take long for Michelle to connect with other local sustainable brands, and soon, the idea for GREEN-HOUSE was born – a place to unite like-minded businesses and consumers under one roof.
“GREEN-HOUSE started as a small get-together of local sustainable brands,” Michelle shares. “We wanted to ignite ideas and discussions about sustainable urban living. This year, we’ve grown into a vibrant festival, richer in diversity and depth. With new segments on future food, conscious fashion, and impactful documentaries, plus pet adoption drives and animal welfare awareness, we’re bridging the gap between local artisans and global brands, celebrating innovation, and championing sustainability as we expand.”

This year’s festival spans over 18,000 square feet at the repurposed Nan Chiau High School, now New Bahru. The space, adapted by creative consultant Nice Projects and architecture firm FARM, features three immersive concept zones: Renew, Reimagine, and Reconnect.
Enter the Factory space, and you’re greeted by Circling Zero, an art exhibition by Knock Knock Studio and Mercedes-Benz Singapore.
This display turns used car parts into functional art pieces, inspiring creativity and resourcefulness. Nearby, Samsonite’s live weaving installation showcases a tapestry made from recycled luggage fabric.
In the School Hall, Reimagine introduces guests to sustainable lifestyle products, from handbags made of upcycled PET plastics by Webeings to long-wear garments by Atlas Kind.
The Mercedes-Benz Kantine pop-up cafe, in collaboration with FURA, offers a plant-based dining experience using upcycled materials. Highlights include the Dogless Hotdog and New Age Goreng Pisang, served on crockery made from coconut and rice husks.
On The Lawn, the Reconnect zone encourages guests to embrace nature with a thematic campground, pet photoshoot contest, and the Tomorrow Drives Mercedes-Benz experience. Try out a fleet of electric vehicles like the EQA and EQS Saloon.
Admission is free for everyone and every pet, so come join the green conversation and help build a more sustainable future.
