Samsung Electronics Odyssey Cup Counter-Strike 2 Championship Ignites Competition Across the Region

Samsung Electronics’ 2025 Odyssey Cup swings the spotlight onto Counter-Strike 2, uniting some of the sharpest reflexes from Southeast Asia and Oceania for a three-month sprint to glory and a US$50,000 prize pool.

Launched in 2023 and already a fixture on the regional calendar, the Odyssey Cup has shifted up through the gears: influencer showcases, a Dota 2 chapter, and now CS2.

National qualifiers roll out across Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, with Singapore’s own bracket firing from 21 to 23 November. Survive the heats, clear the group draw, and you’ll be staring down the grand finals in Kuala Lumpur from 12 to 14 December.

Centre stage is the Odyssey G5 G50F (QHD resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time) engineered for those ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-it’ duels where a single frame can define a tournament run. It’s the difference between “nice try” and “see you in KL”.

“The Odyssey Cup represents more than esports. It celebrates community building and showcases Samsung’s commitment to empowering gamers and shaping the landscape of esports and digital culture.”

Leslie Goh, Head of Regional Display Solutions

TCP Red Bull Malaysia is back for a second year, bringing the requisite wings and adrenaline. “We are excited to reinforce this collaboration, a partnership built on shared passion and high energy,” says Adelene Tay, the brand’s Head of Marketing.

On and off the server, that energy translates into fuller lobbies, livelier watch parties, and a community that rallies around both the spectacle and the grind.

Registration is open now

You’ll need to be 18 or above, and ready to trade weekends for scrims. Because while the Odyssey Cup is glamorous on stage, it’s built in the trenches: utility line-ups, eco rounds, and the discipline to do the boring things brilliantly.

There’s a sweetener for spectators and set-up tinkerers, too. From now till 31 December 2025, Samsung’s running deals up to S$900 off selected Odyssey gaming monitors via the Samsung Online Store and Shop App with the promo code.
