Yong Kang TCM Blends The Best Medical Practices From Both East And West

Yong Kang TCM Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Yong Kang TCM’s latest medical addition promises a non-invasive, high-tech approach to recovery.

We all know someone who lives with pain. It’s not excruciating, but nudging through days with a fatigue that defies neat labels and quick fixes isn’t great for anyone.

For many, pain stops being a symptom and starts becoming a habit. And the advice is often the same: manage it, make do, move on.

Traditional remedies are not universally recognised yet

Even though some Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCMs) have been proven to be as effective as their western counterparts, official recognition hasn’t been fully enacted in Singapore yet.

Must care really be a coin toss between Western medicine and traditional remedies? In 2025, Singapore’s Ministry of Health is exploring exactly that, reviewing 18 clinical proposals to integrate evidence-based Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into public healthcare. It’s a measured, science-led step towards a more holistic system.

At the centre of this is Yong Kang TCM, a home-grown name that pairs time-honoured Eastern wisdom with modern therapeutic technology. Their latest addition is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), a non-invasive, high-tech modality gaining global traction for recovery and resilience.

What does that look like in practice?

HBOT involves resting in a pressurised chamber and breathing near-pure oxygen to saturate the bloodstream up to three times the normal exposure. Yong Kang’s strength is using HBOT as a complement to its existing TCM care, so acupuncture, herbal formulations, cupping or tuina can be dialled to your needs.

If pain has been writing too many of your daily headlines, this East-meets-West approach offers a more considered remedy.

Super-oxygenation, in turn, can support the body’s natural repair processes, helping tissues mend, easing inflammation, and improving circulation. In practical terms, HBOT is being used as an adjunct for those recovering from surgery or physical injuries, coping with chronic fatigue, working through stress-related conditions such as anxiety or persistent sleep issues, and managing certain inflammatory or dermatological concerns.

Of course, technology alone doesn’t heal. Yong Kang’s difference is not only the kit, but the mission to help patients feel like themselves again. Whether you’re rebuilding after surgery, chasing a proper night’s sleep, or grappling with a chronic ache that’s overstayed its welcome, the promise is straightforward care that’s compassionate, credible, and tailored.

The kind that asks, “What will help you live better?” and then builds the plan around your answer.

This might be the remedy you’re seeking

So, if pain has been writing the script, perhaps it’s time for a rewrite, one where Western medicine and TCM don’t sit at opposite ends of the table.

For those interested to give HBOT a try, the machine is located at Yong Kang TCM’s Suntec City outlet.
