The new Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro arrive with serious imaging, brisk performance, and grown-up design.
Both phones are co-engineered with Leica and built around a 50MP Summilux main (ƒ/1.7 on the 15T and ƒ/1.62 on the Pro), with focal lengths you’d expect on a proper lens line-up. The 15T Pro stretches from 15mm to 230mm, courtesy of a Leica 5× Pro telephoto that goes 5× optical, 10× optical-level, and up to 20× Ultra Zoom when you absolutely must bring the stage to you.
The 15T covers 15–92mm, ideal for everyday wide-to-portrait work. Under the hood, the Pro’s Light Fusion 900 sensor claims 13.5EV of dynamic range. Up front, both carry a 32MP selfie camera that won’t turn group shots into pixel porridge.

Xiaomi AISP 2.0 with PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0 cleans up tone and depth so you spend less time “just one more tweak” in the edit. Master Portrait adds new bokeh flavours with adjustable aperture and focal length, while Leica Street Photography mode gives you quick-draw access to classic framelines (28, 35, 50, 75mm; plus 135mm on the Pro).
Video is sensibly ambitious: 4K 30fps HDR10+ across all lenses on both, with the 15T Pro nudging into 4K 120fps on the main and 4K 60fps 10-bit Log with LUT input for people who colour-grade for sport.

Now, that off-grid calling trick. Under Xiaomi Astral Communication, the phones can make device-to-device voice calls over short distances (up to 1.9km on the 15T Pro, 1.3km on the 15T) without cellular or Wi-Fi.
No, it’s not a substitute for emergency comms, but as a belt-and-braces option on hikes, festivals or dead-zones, it’s clever. The suite also folds in the Surge T1S Tuner and Super Antenna Array with AI Smart Antenna Switching to keep your signal stable when networks get flaky.

Both phones use a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED that peaks at 3200 nits. The 15T Pro adds 144Hz refresh with full-brightness DC dimming and ultra-narrow 1.5mm bezels (thank you, LIPO), while the 15T runs a still-silky 120Hz with 3840Hz PWM dimming for gentler night reading.
The 15T Pro packs MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ (3nm), while the 15T uses Dimensity 8400-Ultra. Keeping temps honest is Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop System, which separates vapour and liquid and routes heat away from the SoC via a tidy 3D bulge over the CPU.

Each phone carries a 5500mAh cell rated to 80% capacity after 1600 cycles; the 15T Pro charges at 90W wired and 50W wireless, while the 15T does 67W wired. If you’ve run it flat, it’ll boot within four seconds once plugged in. Audio is Dolby Atmos across dual speakers (the Pro adds a 3-mic array), and you get the usual Hi-Res niceties for both wired and wireless.
There’s Corning® Gorilla® Glass 7i on the front, a glass fibre back, IP68 dust/water resistance (tested to 3m freshwater), and a flatter frame with softened edges that sits nicely in hand. The 15T Pro ups the armour with a 6M13 aluminium alloy frame.
