vivo X Fold5 Launched In Singapore

vivo X Fold5

The new vivo X Fold5 is a bold rethink of what a foldable should be, wrapped in titanium grey and a clever design.

At 217g, it weighs less than many traditional slab phones, a neat party trick for something that folds out to reveal an 8-inch display.

Crafted with an aerospace-grade kinematic hinge, it can shrug off 600,000 test folds. The crease is also almost imperceptible. And just to flex a little more, it’s rated IPX8 and IPX9 for water resistance, IP5X for dust, and survives minus 20 degrees Celsius.

In hand, at just 0.92cm when folded, this is the slimmest foldable vivo has ever made.

Unfold it, and you’re greeted by vivo’s brightest display ever. Both the 8.03-inch main screen and 6.53-inch cover screen boast up to 4500 nits of local peak brightness.

Pair that with 2K+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, and you’re looking at visuals worthy of a cinema-grade experience, or at the very least, a perfectly bingeable K-drama night.

The X Fold5 carries the legacy of vivo’s partnership with ZEISS, delivering what might just be the most complete camera setup ever seen on a foldable.

  • 50MP ZEISS Telephoto Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 100x HyperZoom
  • 50MP VCS Bionic Main Camera with Sony’s IMX921 sensor
  • 50MP Ultra Wide-Angle Lens with a 120° field of view

ZEISS T* coating ensures that flare and ghosting are reduced to a whisper, while AI smarts refine zoomed-in shots so they’re actually usable, not pixelated watercolours.

The BlueVolt Battery, equivalent to 6000mAh, is the biggest ever in a vivo foldable. Pair it with 80W wired and 40W wireless FlashCharge, and you’re back up to speed faster than you can say “battery percentage.”

With Origin Workbench, multitasking becomes a ballet. Up to five apps running in harmony, without needing to juggle screens or carry multiple devices. vivo DocMaster takes meeting notes to another level; annotate PDFs, convert formats with a tap, and even use built-in AI to help craft content within your documents.

There’s also Smart Call Assistant and AI Transcript Assist, and with full integration with Google Gemini, your AI co-pilot is always on hand, ready to draft an email, plan an itinerary, or just brainstorm ideas for your next big pitch.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset runs the show. It’s 30% faster on the CPU, 25% faster on graphics, and 20% more power-efficient than the previous generation.
