Celebrate SG60 in Style With The Ritz-Carlton

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

In true five-star fashion, The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore has gone all out to mark Singapore’s diamond jubilee with a symphony of indulgences.

For SG60, check in and you’re immediately whisked away on a Peranakan reverie. The hotel’s SG60 stay package offers a unique story. When you walk into your room, nestled on your bedside is a handcrafted ceramic tile coaster by The Intan, a charming private museum championing all things Peranakan.

What makes it truly heartwarming is who puts it together: individuals from APSN, a social service agency dedicated to empowering those with mild intellectual disabilities. It’s heritage with heart.

And because no Singaporean story is complete without food, expect chocolate pralines dressed up in Peranakan tile motifs and bursting with flavours like Bandung, Milo Dinosaur, and Pandan Feuilletine. Top it off with a bottle of Barons de Rothschild Ritz Brut NV Champagne and a cheeky lion plushie in a chef’s uniform. All this, of course, with breakfast at Colony and a languid late check-out at 3pm.

If your birthday includes a ‘6’, or you were born in 1965, rejoice. You’re entitled to a complimentary room upgrade, with those born in Singapore’s founding year getting bumped up even further.

Colony: A Buffet That Time Travels

From 7 July to 7 August, senior Singaporeans from the Pioneer and Merdeka Generations can dine at the Colony buffet from just SGD 60, with every three full-paying adults.

And when National Day weekend rolls around (8–10 August), expect a show-stopping ensemble of dishes that reinterpret hawker favourites through the lens of haute cuisine.

Dishes you can enjoy include Otah-Stuffed Salmon Wellington with Smoked Salmon Cream Sauce, Beef Rendang Lasagna, and of course, the eternal crowd-pleasers like Colony Laksa and Lobster Hokkien Mee. Even the coffee pork ribs and chilli crab with golden mantou make a spirited appearance.

Prices start at SGD 148 for dinner and SGD 238 for the Champagne Brunch, which, as you’d expect, comes with an endless cascade of Barons de Rothschild fizz and cocktails to match.

Summer Pavilion: A Michelin-Starred Ode to Nostalgia

At Summer Pavilion, Chef Cheung Siu Kong takes a walk down memory lane and serves it up with white gloves. His six-course National Day menu (available 4–10 August) reads like an old-school Singaporean playlist remixed in Cantonese elegance.

There’s a nasi lemak-inspired stuffed chicken wing, steamed glutinous rice with XO sauce, and even a Singapore-style appetiser trio featuring sautéed chicken with shrimp paste, pan-fried oyster, and prawns coated in salted egg yolk. His pièce de résistance is Baked Canadian Lobster in Singapore chilli sauce – heritage, but make it Michelin.

Republic: A Sip of the Swinging Sixties

Step into Republic, where it’s perpetually 1965 and the drinks are as expressive as the era they celebrate.

From 5 July to 10 August, the bar is serving three SG60-themed libations: the Majulah Sling (a cheeky twist on our national cocktail), the bold and boozy Lion City Voulévadier, and a tropical Marina Glow mocktail. Priced from SGD 60.

A Celebration for the Ages

Whether you’re tucking into a steaming bowl of laksa, raising a glass of bubbly to Merdeka, or unwrapping a handcrafted keepsake made with love, every detail here pays homage to a city that’s bold, resilient, and ever-evolving.

So, if you’re looking to celebrate Singapore’s 60th not just with pomp but with poignancy, you know where to go.
