If you’ve ever wondered what Barbie would look like with wings, then Marina Square and Wings of Art 2025 is where your imagination takes flight this June.
In a uniquely Singaporean twist, Wings of Art 2025 is transforming the iconic Barbie doll into a canvas of dreams. As the nation celebrates SG60, the central atrium of Marina Square will play host to Singapore’s Longest Barbie Runway, a sprawling 60-metre catwalk that’ll showcase 1,060 winged Barbies, each one telling a different story of hope, resilience, and giving.
This initiative is also a heartfelt mission to raise $100,000 for the Singapore Red Cross’ Young Hearts Programme, which supports underprivileged children with education, mentorship, and a whole lot of love.

These Barbies, decked out with handcrafted wings, are symbolic artefacts of transformation. Each represents the dreams of a child, the vision of an artist, or the compassion of a contributor.
Of the 1,060 dolls, 60 are being exclusively designed by Singapore’s leading creatives, from actress Jayley Woo to fashion designer Frederick Lee, and even chocolate artisan Janice Wong. These exclusive dolls will be up for public bidding here, with proceeds funnelled directly into the Young Hearts Programme.

The remaining 1,000 Barbies? They’re yours to shape, literally. The public is invited to register for a crafting session, pick up a Barbie, and add their artistic touch. You can keep the doll, or donate it back to the runway to become part of this living, breathing artwork. Either way, your contribution fuels a child’s future.
Each crafting session includes a Barbie, a pair of wings, and an all-you-can-art buffet of materials. And because this is Singapore, donations are also 250% tax-deductible.

Spearheaded by Peace of Art in collaboration with Wings of Childhood and Barbie superfan Jian Yang, this campaign turns recycled materials and repurposed dreams into a tapestry of community art. Jian’s #FlushableFashion series (couture made from tissue paper and napkins) is also featured, injecting a touch of avant-garde whimsy into the proceedings.
So, if you’re looking for something a little different this SG60, come take part in Wings of Art 2025. You won’t just walk away with a doll. You’ll walk away with purpose.
