When it comes to home broadband, speed is everything. And ViewQwest has just made that speed more accessible than ever.
In a move that streamlines its offerings, ViewQwest has announced a new, simplified 10Gbps broadband plan at an effective rate of $38.75 per month over a two-year contract.
This announcement follows ViewQwest’s network upgrade just two months ago, where they transitioned to the XGS-PON network.
For those not in the loop, XGS-PON is the tech that supports ultra-fast, symmetrical internet speeds of up to 10Gbps, and it’s part of Singapore’s broader vision to connect half a million homes to this kind of next-gen speed by 2028.
Previously, consumers had multiple options: 10Gbps plans for $58.98, 5Gbps at $46.99, and 3Gbps for $34.98 a month, all on 24-month contracts. But the new plan, priced at an effective $38.75 a month, consolidates those into one simple option; a 35% reduction from the previous 10Gbps plan.
No waiting is required either, as CEO Vignesa Moorthy explained, “We want everyone to experience the benefits of 10Gbps today, not tomorrow, not after waiting for a contract to end, and not because other providers don’t serve their postal code.”
That means even if you’re an existing ViewQwest customer, you can upgrade your current plan to the new 10Gbps one without any restrictions for as little as $6.54 a month.
For the tech enthusiasts out there, ViewQwest hasn’t forgotten about you. They’re bundling router options with the new plans, ensuring that you get the best performance possible.
Mainstream users can opt for the eero Max 7, a Wi-Fi 7 router, while more tech-savvy users can go for the Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro or SFP+ transceiver bundles.
