Canon PhotoMarathon Returns For 2024.

After a five-year hiatus, Canon Singapore is bringing back its much-loved Canon PhotoMarathon, inviting photography enthusiasts of all stripes to capture the vibrancy of Singapore through their lenses.

Happening on 28 September 2024, whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting your journey in photography, this event is your chance to rediscover the joy of snapping that perfect shot.

This year’s theme, “Every Lens, Every Age,” is all about celebrating the diversity of perspectives that make photography such a powerful medium. The event challenges participants with a two-hour window to submit their best work for each theme, pushing them to think quickly and creatively as they roam the streets in search of the perfect shot.

“We’re thrilled to see the Canon PhotoMarathon return, and we can’t wait to witness the creativity that emerges from this event. It’s not just about taking photos; it’s about preserving moments, telling stories, and connecting with a community that shares a love for capturing the world through a lens,” says Mr Andrew Koh, Vice President and Head of Singapore Operations Group, Canon Singapore

For those with a competitive spirit, the rewards are nothing short of spectacular. The top three winners in both the Open and Student categories will walk away with some of Canon’s latest and greatest photography gear, with prizes totalling up to $47,000.

In the Open Category, the grand prize includes the highly sought-after EOS R6 Mark II Kit along with a PIXMA TS8370a printer, a package worth over $4,000. Other prize winners won’t be left empty-handed, as they’ll also receive top-tier Canon kits to fuel their photography passions.

In the Student Category, young photographers have the chance to win an EOS R8 Kit paired with a PIXMA E4570 printer, valued at more than $2,500. Even second and third-place winners will receive inspiring equipment that encourages them to continue their creative journeys.

Early bird registration is now open until 1 September 2024, so don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting return.
