IDEMIA Secure Transactions has recently announced the launch of the GREENPAY Wallet, in time for World Environment Day 2024.
Announced in April 2024, this collaborative initiative between French President Emmanuel Macron and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in sustainable development and green transition.

This new digital solution brings regenerative sustainability to banks, empowering their customers to foster a greener future; this solution consists of two key components:
For Consumers: Integrated into their mobile banking apps, this software streamlines financial contributions to NGO projects. Users can easily access a wide range of sustainable projects aimed at ecosystem restoration.
For Financial Institutions: A digital platform enables banks to choose impactful projects, scientifically and economically vetted, to offer to their clients or support directly. It also includes monitoring tools for each project.
Launched in 2020, IDEMIA’s GREENPAY initiative was one of the first to incorporate recycled PVC in banking cards. Now, with the GREENPAY Wallet, IDEMIA has partnered with Handprint to integrate planet-positive actions seamlessly into business activities.

Projects integrated into the GREENPAY Wallet are carefully selected for their alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and other global environmental data, and each project is rigorously monitored with regular reports.
