The DJI Avata 2 combines a fully immersive flight experience with intuitive motion control in one neat little package.
Ever wanted to fly an FPV drone, or shoot cool cinematic air footage, but don’t have the equipment nor the required skills to get off the ground easily?
Don’t worry, DJI now has you covered. They have recently unveiled the DJI Avata 2 in Singapore.
This drone is your ticket to cinematic prowess, making everyone capable of executing flips, rolls, and drifts with a magician’s ease.
“Imagine the thrill of FPV flight, feeling almost as if you’re soaring alongside the drone,” mused Ferdinand Wolf, DJI’s Creative Director, during the drone’s global launch.
gear up with the latest tech.
The Avata 2 is designed to pair seamlessly with the new DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC Motion 3.
The new goggles feature adjustable diopters and dual micro-OLED screens that bring the world to your eyes in 10-bit glory, at refresh rates that keep everything buttery smooth.
Plus, with Real View PiP technology, you’re fully immersed and aware of your surroundings without ever lifting the goggles.
When we adorned the goggles during a recent media launch, controls easily fell to hand. The ‘double tap to switch views’ feature is especially noteworthy, eliminating the need to remove the goggles in order to glance at our immediate surroundings.
Traditional clunky controllers are also replaced with the DJI RC Motion 3. In practice, it’s a breeze to operate; even novices can feel like ace pilots.
Epic footage can be shot with just a nudge of the joystick – flips, rolls, drifts. The half-press trigger feature is a lifesaver too, preventing the drone from drifting away with stray inputs.
The Avata 2 boasts a larger image sensor that brings scenes to life, even in dim light. Its ultra-wide lens opens up new perspectives.
And for those who revel in the details, the 10-bit D-Log M Color mode ensures every shade and hue is captured with cinematic precision.
stability meets agility.
Even while executing tight manoeuvres, the Avata 2’s stabilisation technologies – RockSteady and HorizonSteady – ensure your footage remains pristine.
And for the tinkerers, the EIS-off mode offers even more control in post-production with Gyroflow, letting you fine-tune your shots to perfection.
DJI also stepped up safety for the drone. The Avata 2 features a lighter, more agile propeller guard and new sensors that bolster both stability and safety.
And with features like automatic Return to Home and Turtle mode, for those occasional upside-down moments, peace of mind is part of the package.
With up to 23 minutes of flight time and fast charging capabilities, the Avata 2 ensures you’re always ready to capture the action. We had multiple users running the drone continuously during the media test, and not once did the drone falter due to low battery.
And thanks to the new O4 video transmission technology, you’re assured of crystal-clear, reliable connections, no matter where your adventures take you.
sharing is caring.
With the DJI Goggles 3, you can stream the excitement directly to the DJI Fly app or other devices.
Equipped with 46GB of storage and effortless Wi-Fi connectivity, the Avata 2 has partner tools like the LightCut app’s One-Tap Edit.
This allows your aerial footage to transform into polished, share-worthy content in moments.
why not fly before you buy?
