LG Electronics recently showcased its latest air conditioners and air purifiers at the LG Air Solutions event, hosted at Gardens By The Bay.

These newly launched climate-friendly products highlight the importance of cleaner air, and by extension, healthier homes.

Improving efficiency whilst reducing overall emissions, LG has adopted the next-generation R32 refrigerant for its air conditioners in both commercial and residential applications.
A compound that is friendly to our ozone layer and has a significantly lower global warming potential (GWP) compared to current models, the R32 refrigerant is widely known to be the more environmentally friendly option for aircons.
The benefits of this refrigerant include the ability to dissipate heat more efficiently while offering a higher cooling capacity, thus requiring less energy to cool indoor spaces. Users can not only reduce their overall carbon footprint but also enjoy significant savings on electricity bills. The R32 can also be easily recycled or reused once an individual decides to swap out their aircon, minimising its environmental impact during its lifespan.
The R32 will be fitted in LG’s Multi-Split Smart Inverter Air-Conditioner, which was awarded an excellent 5-tick rating on Singapore’s Energy Guide. The aircon is able to operate with low vibration and less noise, which achieves greater energy efficiency and cools the room quickly.
Additionally, the compact size of the outdoor aircon unit makes it relatively easy to install, making it suitable for HDBs or apartments looking to upgrade their air-cooling systems. In order to provide customers with clear distinctions between products, LG’s air conditioners that use the R32 refrigerant will be identified with a Climate-Friendly label.

Alongside the R32 refrigerant, LG also debuted its new PuriCare™ AeroTower™, an air purifying fan which harmonises the perfect combination of both an air purifier and a fan.
The AeroTower features a sleek futuristic design that fits seamlessly into any household setting. For cleaner air circulation, the fan employs a 3-step filtration system – a Pre-Filter, 360-degree HEPA filter and Deodorisation Filter. With this comprehensive design, the fan can effectively remove allergens, fine dust, odours and harmful gases in the air, significantly improving indoor air quality.
To top it off, the air purifying fan is also equipped with LG’s signature UVnano™ technology that is able to remove up to 99.9 per cent of bacteria that passes through the fan blades, ensuring that only clean air is extruded throughout the environment.

To add even more convenience to customers, the LG ThinQ™ app provides next-level convenience for users.
